Makes sense. There are a ton of women who stream on twitch. Then again, I wonder if these are actual women. Depends on what games they are looking at too. I think LoL, WoW, and Hearthstone prob have more the over 20 women. And games like CS:GO, COD, BF4 have the under 20.
Reason for my answer before the fanboys set in.
CS:GO has alot of girl gamers that look near or under 18.
COD has alot of 12 yearold boys so why wouldn't they be paired up with 12 year old girls
BF4: No reason for this answer. It's similar to COD so why wouldn't it draw in the same crowd?
LoL-Just look at twitch. I think the youngest girl streamer is Jaynee? And I think even she's 18. Youngest LoL streamer I've seen.
WoW-Games old af, Women should be old af by now.
Hearthstone-Literally a game from Blizzard, Lots of people play it that play LoL and WoW. Usually on down times.
Yeah, There's been all kinds of quirks of this report..plus it's from one source only, EA...kinda would be cool to have multiple sources with more info o.O

As others have mentioned, this report has various flaws in it. If you were to take a small population, let's say 100 people, from a multiplayer game, such as CS:GO, it could be a fair guess that 80% or more would be males.
Perhaps in casual AAA games, such as Call of Duty, the amount of women would be larger. I know a handful of girls that own an Xbox 360 (not the current-gen consoles yet) and play Call of Duty.
The amount of women varies with each game.

I would say that as a general rule Call of Duty is not a casual game.

Just because there is a tournament and a cash prize for the winner doesn't mean it's not a casual game. It is an arcade style shooter. It may have tactical game modes, but in the end, it's gameplay is arcade-style. It has been made to appeal to a massive audience, and a fair amount of that audience only plays that game or simply plays a few AAA titles. It is a casual game.
Let's not argue over this, regardless of who is right.
