PL says it is just a rumor. Hopefully he is right. http://variety.co...201185204/

I actually do like Google as a search engine, but they fucked up Youtube badly.
1) Made comments unlimited characters-Led to spamming.
2) Made you have to have a Google+ Account to sign in.
3) Made streamers take off there music while streaming.
4) Probably other things I don't know about since I'm not an uploader.

1. YouTube is a free service and it is likely that you (or anyone else on this site) has ever contributed anything that has benefited Google directly.
2. Google is a free service (and most of what it entails). See above.
3. Google is a multi-billion dollar corporation. They'll do as they please. If you don't like their service, don't use it.
4. They made comments able to be posted with unlimited characters because people wanted it. If you don't want it, they're open to suggestions. They won't start introducing things the public doesn't want. That's bad business.
5. Of course they will tie Google+ and YouTube together! They own both of them, it only makes sense to have one of the most visited pages on the web be apart of their social networking.
6. It is more than likely a good idea for Google to expand its streaming service. They are masters on YouTube, Twitch will only improve from here.
Don't take offense to my words, just being the Devil's Advocate.

I'm fine with it AS LONG as the content ID for songs doesn't transfer over
that would literally ruin over half of the streams on twitch
can you imagine Trick2G streaming without music or without his taunting songs
or not being able to have streamers blast the song MOLLY while chat goes insane
it simply wouldn't be the same place
that is the one thing i fear from this merger that is absolutely it

1. Have most people who have a youtube account contributed to Google? Most people watch the ads, some people click on them that is how they get their revenue.
2. Google is free, so is Youtube. Youtube was going grand before Google decided to buy it. Take a poll from Youtube users, most people did not like the immediate changes they made.
3. Google is a multi-billion dollar corporation. I've used Youtube ever since it was started in 2006, I'm not going to stop watching videos just because a multi-billion dollar corporation buys it. I think you think someone who uses something frequently, isn't entitled to an opinion. This kindof scares me. If there is a situation in which the American military decides to turn America into a dictatorship, would you ask people well Obama has such and such amount of dollars, what have you contributed to Obama? Nazi Germany has X amount of Jews in it, why not wipe a few out? If you don't like it, just ignore it.
4. I'll give you that some people wanted it, definately not the majority.
5. Meh, Google plus has it's flaws but I'm not going to sit here laying them out since you have already made up your mind on that issue.
6. Masters on Youtube? Name one good thing that they have done since owning Youtube.
Don't take offense to my rebuttal, I'm just playing Devil's Secretary

Chat is going to be your first and last name (Google + account)=GG privacy to streams who have thousands of viewers.
No spam protection (Comments on youtube could be unlimited)=Can you imagine how many spam bots would be in Twitch?
Admining? Right now Twitch streamers get to decide who there admins are, Google would probably recruit their own admins.

I'm pretty sure that Google still needs to settle the purchase with the US government because it might be considered a move to stop competition. Google can't buy it if it would remove Twitch as a competition because you can't have a monopoly.

Twitch is probably the most important game streaming website that coveres jist about every important popular games, which range from pc to non pc games. Twitch is announced just at every major game competition,so its probably the leading one to broadcoast and host anything. YouTube doesnt bother me as it is,inever sign in with my personal profile as to it reveals a lot and all i need youtube for is to hear skyrims full soundtrack

I think that's the thing that irks me the most about it. I had/have a professional email with Gmail, that I use with employers/professors. And I had a Youtube account named "guitarbballfreak", which I had to change my name (to my real life name) on so that my professional email was my name. So everytime I comment on Youtube, I'll have to worry about those pesky stalkers.
Don't know if this makes sense but meh.

And I know the feelin sorta..have multiple email accounts so i don't have to stick to one provider (have yahoo hotmail which is now outlook and gmail) and gmail I use so business don't be like, "He's using aol email address? how quaint"...So I just use the email aspect..but i'll look into twitch just to see what all the fuss is about..when I get around to not being lazy of course...
