Anyone else experiencing huge lag in LoL recently? Or any other games for that matter? CS:GO playing with MasterA our entire team timed out as well. I BLAME POKEMON!
As you can see by this photo, maybe not. The only one not experiencing lag was Volibear and he wrecked our entire team.

The internet has been pretty terrible lately. I get less than 200 ping pretty much once, for an hour or two, per day, whereas I used to get 60 ping most of the time.
It must be because of the sheer amount of noobies downloading Flappy Bird and it's many ripoffs. It's like network stress, multipled by a thousand, due to the unimaginably poor quality and repetiveness of the abomination that is Flappy Bird. The internet just can't take it anymore; it's so darn disgusting. |

i went on lol a few days ago, i spent 3 mins waiting for a login spot. Played on server, my entire team dced. I kept getting super lag. and disconnected twice. god...

Also if you're living within the areas where either snow storm, twisters, or thunderstorms are currently occurring, then you will most likely experience issues with latency.

You people need too relax, Lag is just a thing caused by kids who are using the internet during the school holidays as they have nothing better too do thankx too the weather  .

You're both wrong.. Lag is caused by receiving high latency aka ping from your internet connection. The fault is either your ISP's for not providing a better service, the servers that you connect/join to experiencing issues, DDoS attacks, the weather outside your house, or your family members/people hooking their devices to your internet modem/router. True facts there.

Going to be honest, lag aka bad/high latency can be caused by multiple of variables. Want to really have fun, get an unshielded cable and get an item that transmits the same frequency. Exact reason why wireless connections have more issues.

I wish I could quote more people right now  But I can't so you're the lucky one. The reason for LoL's lagging is "Malicious attacks against the server." I have no idea what is lagging, god I hate that word....um increasing the ping of Counter Strike Global Offensive. One thing I know is that it certaintly is not a problem with my computer or internet (As I would be the only one experiencing these issues)

4 people come back but "Reconnecting" or if you want to call it "Timing out and then Timing back in", 1 person (our Attack Damage Carry disconnects and doesn't come back) v 5 (4 with the same issues, 1 person doesn't have any troubles)
I forgot what I was going with this, but I think Lag was the person who seemed to think that it was too many people logging on. That is definately not the case lmao.

Also @Dudeman The malicious attacks to League of Legends would definitely represent for DDoS attacks. They wouldn't label it on headline news at their main website saying "Our servers are currently getting DDoSed, blah blah blah" or something too simple like that. That's why they put "Malicious attacks" as it involves in DDoS attacks.

I am aware of them facts, here in mainland U.K I get frequent connection problems due to my router being sluggish or my connection killing itself off .

Basically what Revenge said, except that it's generally just being plugged in means more power to your network cards. Basically, Windows power management detects whether you're on plug or battery. If you're on battery, the network card is put into a low-mid power state, so that the battery will last longer. If you're plugged in, it goes all out and gives the network card as much power as it desires.
The higher percentage of power the network card gets that it wants, the better it functions, basically.(and thus the better your connection is) |
