does anyone know how to check what my CD key was ? so I can use it to re install halo? don't have my old comp so have no clue what it was

Nope. If you don't have access to your old hard drive, you can't recover it. It's not possible to reverse-engineer the CD Key from the hash.
You'll have to purchase another copy of the game, or find the original disk.

Aww, goddamn, you guys beat me to it. But about Saviour posting the Halo CD Key Recovery Tool was the only program that could help you get your CD key back if you were still on the computer with Halo being installed there. If you're on a newer computer and never had Halo installed on it before, then I'm afraid you cannot retrieve your old CD key anymore. Although if you have Halo Custom Edition or even full version installed in other user account or had it installed before, then you can get your CD key back through HKEY registry as first I would need to know if you still have the old Hard Drive so therefore I can help you with that step. I'm sorry for the late reply as I was rating the pictures from JP's Picture Competition as I'm one of the judges for that. And also OMG! Welcome back JJX5/UGK/BBQ/HotCoco/Martyr!! <3 I've missed you so much! <3 <3 <3 And also you would be the one to give Lunk some competition in Stats if you rejoined and play Stats again.  You also wouldn't believe that Stevie Wonder rejoined back in [ZÅ] and is already a Sergeant of the clan now.

well I'm on full version with version changer , but keeps sayin CD key is invalid when tried to join you guys earlier nd miss you all to

By the way, you can't use an illegal/invalid CD Key to install your Halo to 1.09 and then use version changer into thinking that you will be able to join the servers without getting the "Your CD Key is invalid." error. Trust me, even Microsoft's security back in those days were super protective for an old game like Halo. If you want to play on 1.09 again without that error, then you would need to buy the full game with a CD Key again. Message me on Xfire and I will love to buy you a copy of the full game. <3
