Hey guys as some of you know I just started college and as few of you know it's at CU-Boulder, Last week I FINALLY got my new copy of halo and it's currently in my dorm room (:
HOWEVER, if you've heard boulder and it's surrounding areas have been having RIDICULOUS FLOODS
yes the middle of the damn country in boulder colorado is having massive flooding

this is a few blocks from where my stuff is currently located
so ya I haven't been back to my dorm room since this madness began and even when i do go back i have no idea if anything in my room is even usable anymore
so ya
might not have a computer
apparently floors are covered in about 6 inches of mud
basically everything i own is ruined
having a slight mental breakdown that the year i move in the middle of the country decides to have the worst flooding in state history
more to come when i figure out what's happening where i'm living how i'm replacing all my crap etc.

This by the way is the floor of reed hall where my stuff is located
at the peak time of flooding it was nearly filled up to that window
I don't expect my room was any luckier than this one

That really is terrible. The state may offer some kind of program to get some of your money back though, I am not sure what the laws are on natural destruction of property.. I suppose you would need insurance. Remember that it's just objects and what matters is that you're safe from the chaos! Wish you well!

Your luck seems to be as good as mine. On the bright side...at least you weren't stuck there while it happened. As rev suggested try for some disaster relief funding.

Sorry to hear that, Bvigil. I hope everything works out, and yeah, try to recieve some sort of disaster relief funding. I remember when FEMA gave us some when we had hurricane Sandy. They were very helpful, and cooperative with us.
