Okay, I do have an issue that's been bothering me. For some reason, between an interval of 3-4 minutes or so, my FPS would drop causing me to lag momentarily for about 10-15 seconds, then my FPS would go back to normal. I'm not really sure why it's doing this, and I've tried reseting my router, didnt help. Any suggestions?

fps or frames per second has little to do with your internet. Fps is pretty much hardware based. A lot of things could be dropping your fps like that, windows updates, antivirus updates, virus scans, program running, and stuff like that. Or it could be your graphic card overheating or something else like that. If your using a desktop i suggest getting one of those air cans and take the cpu outside, take the side off, and spray the dust out. Also try turning your antivirus off when you play halo and other programs you don't need running.

Well, FPS drop doesn't has nothing to do with internet lag where you would have to restart your router. In order to fix Frame Rate Issues, you can do few possible things:
1) Lower your Halo video settings to its lowest along with the resolution. If your monitor can support the highest refresh rate, change it to its max Hertz.
2) Once you've done that, hit CTRL + F12 and see how much FPS are you getting in the maps that causes you to get FPS drop. Usually maps small and high textured maps such as Damnation, Chill Out, Longest, etc would cause FPS drop, especially if you join a full server with 16 players. Any explosions in the map's environmental will sometimes cause the FPS to go down.
3) Open up the tower case and clean out all the dust inside. Sometimes the dust living inside can cause blockage in the vent holes and preventing the graphics card to release any air out which can slow your FPS down as well. (Use canned air duster, as a smart advice from Master A to me in the past about keeping computers clean, thank you A.)
4) A better possible solution is to update your graphics driver and if you can provide me the name of your graphics card; Brand + Series, then I can link you to the website to download its latest updated drivers.
5) If option 4 didn't help, then you have to upgrade your graphics card.
Few questions I have to ask you:
1) List your computer specs. If you need help in finding them, let me know.
2) What's your current Halo video settings set to?
3) Did you experience this problem in the past or are you recently experiencing it now?

dude got a point.
XD
Are you connected wirelessly or cable. Because wireless will always experince some form of lag in comparison with cable ( unless cable is a million feet long...lol)
Remember if anyone else use your internet, you can EXPECT to experince some form of lag.
also stop having your dirty videos running when playing halo |
