Since you felt the urge to ruin my reputation on a recruitment thread that I cannot even see, nor defend myself on, I will post my response here, in front of everyone.
I have been playing Halo for 4 years now, and I have spent 3 years of that time in CnR. During this time, I was lucky and fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to lead a group of nearly 50 admins and help to manage the technical side of the CnR server for over a year.
So naturally, I learned how to work with people. So I thought I might put that knowledge to the test in another clan, to see how successful I may become using the same knowledge that I learned in CnR.
Today, I attempted to join ZA. After taking my interview, I told Star about my little experiment idea. I asked if I should use another alias, or keep the same one. Long story short, she got very angry and posted logs of our conversation in such a manner that made me look bad, AND prevented me from even defending myself.
Star, look. I know you don't believe in my little success experiment, but that gives you no right to share our private conversations in such a manner that it would ruin my reputation among those of this clan, and therefore prevent me from ever becoming a member in this clan. That is unfair.
Despite my negative above comments about you Star, I believe you are a great leader. Your balance of morale and capability as a leader is amazing. Your sense of loyalty toward this clan is like non I have ever seen, ever on a internet clan. If I offended you somehow, then I'm sorry. :/
If it was an experiment why tell so many what you're doing? As soon as you did that you kinda ruined the experiment....

As the leader of ZA, I have every right as well as a responsibility to my clan mates to let them know you were planning on experimenting on them. That's not friendship, and ZA is friendship. My loyalty is to them, not you. How would they feel if they found out I knew about it and let you carry on pretending to be everyone's friend and ranking up even though I knew it wasn't "real." That is NOT what ZA is about.
Additionally - the day before you applied I told you that would never fly in ZA and that my feelings would be so hurt if a ZA did that. So even though you knew I was against it, you applied the following day anyway.
No one is responsible for your own action. If you're coming into a clan with that type of plan, you should get approval, not belittle the leader and everything she's tried to build by making it a little "social experiment" for yourself.
Finally, you made a mockery of my "pixel family" as you call it. Each member in ZA is more than a pixel. My real life family is more than a pixel. You demeaned the whole clan and me by calling us pixels. You made it a point to let me know that you made a better choice by picking a "real life" set of family and friends. You made it very clear in your final insult to me that we're not real people, why bother experimenting on us in the guise of "social phenomena" when we're merely pixels?
Keep in mind, you approached me, I never asked you to join. Also, you are the one that told me you were a manipulator. I never asked anything of you. I thought you were just trying to be friends with me, not use me to begin your experiment. You had well enough warning to know this would not go over with me yet you tried anyway.
Instead of apologizing for the offense and backing down, you kept insulting me and blaming my protection of ZA on my emotionality, and my unhealthy attachment to fake people.
I suggest you stay away from me and quit insulting me. I don't want you in the clan and I don't want to be friends. You want neither, as well - so please leave me alone. I won't be patronized by someone I barely know, a child with delusions of grandeur and social cause. You said it yourself, you are too busy with school anyway - apply your know it all and can-do attitude somewhere where you actually think it counts, Real Life.

I stand by this whole statement. We're more than pixels, were a family that tries to help one another. Yeah, we may not meet in person, but for me it's still the same.

Hey, between my name, my profile pic, and my sig, I have WAY more then 1 pixel. You'd think if this guy is supposedly "managing" CnR he would have the knowledge of the size of a pixel and to put pixels in the plural form accordingly. Just sayin.
And to answer your question about trying to be successful in another clan, I swapped from the top ranks of ZwD/ZwG and look where I am. Given time; anyone who really puts work into a clan and sticks with it no matter what will eventually rank up and up. No experiment needed. It's just fairly common knowledge.
First of all, I reject the opinions of all those who are not Star. You do not know who I am, nor can you correctly judge my character from a short log that, not only is missing crucial details about what I'm trying to achieve, but is also using words of strong connotation (such as "manipulation) that could make anyone believe I am a foul person.
Second of all, Star should not have even involved the clan in our private matter without even letting me finish explaining what exactly I was trying to achieve here. Star, you and I had a little friendship going. Heck, we've even talked about morales and such. I even told you that you were a good leader. But when I brought up my personal thoughts, I had no idea you were going to snap and throw the logs up for all to see.
I realize that you, Star, have a deep bond with your clan members. I apologize for calling that bond "a bond of pixels". It was a statement out of anger, anger that you caused when you betrayed our privacy in such a way that could ruin my reputation. If you had let me FINISH what I was trying to explain, instead of jumping to conclusions and throwing up logs on the internet, then maybe things wouldn't have gone astray and I wouldn't have shouted this senseless insult, hmm? I apologize about that senseless outburst. I recognize that your bond to the clan is truly something to be reckoned with, and I do not mean to trample on anyone's idea of family.
Now, if your going to get anything out of this message, let it be the words I will now say.
I am NOT experimenting on the members of ZA. I was attempting to conduct an experiment on MYSELF. A PERSONAL, I repeat, PERSONAL test of how successful I could become in this clan. Tell me Star, what's wrong with personally testing myself to see if I still have my edge? Just because I am doing a personal test does not mean I am "experimenting on the clan". Just because I set a personal goal for myself doesn't mean I'm turning ZA, as you called it, "a playground for my own manipulation". There is a difference, and it's best you see it Star. This was a personal test, not a clan member experimenting playground, as you exaggeratedly classified it.
As for my use of the word, "manipulation", it's a word that naturally has a negative connotation. Like I said above, any clan member who does not know me personally can look at the word and assume I'm an evil person. If I replaced the word "manipulator" with "social skills" or "socializing ability", that would better describe who I am. With good social skills, you can gain friends and better influence people. It's a skill set that can earn you many great friends and relationships. A skill-set I even use in real life, to great effect. Why do you think I suggested that you read the book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People"? According to Wikipedia, "How to Win Friends and Influence People is one of the first best-selling self-help books ever published." Self-help. Like I said, what I'm trying to achieve is purely personal. And you betrayed my personal thoughts to a clan who hasn't even yet begun to discover what kind of person I really am. I am not a foul person, and I stand by that statement.
