The best way to get cheap desktop is to build it yourself. It's really hard to find a gaming computer for under $600. Here are some desktop considerations (cheapest of their brand):
HP: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883256811
Asus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220339
Dell: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=dpdoxp1u&model_id=alienware-x51&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19
If you want me to suggest parts, I can look them up for you.

Take advice from Souless on computers below $1500. I can only help you build with gaming computers that are over $1500 for the best performance.

The Asus and Dell ones Soul poster are decent for that price. Also are you just considering getting a PC or are you also thinking about getting a laptop? |

Yea never thought to say don't get a apple laptop/pc because I though everyone knew they were garbage anyway HP, MSI, Toshiba, Asus, Lenovo are some decent laptop brands that don't sell junk. Acer is alright to but you have to be careful what you buy from them. |

I though HP, Lenovo and Dell were more business oriented pc makers.. dunno.

Nope. They make all sorts. Including business oriented laptop/pc's.

If you're getting a laptop go ASUS all the way they have amazing quality for great prices
if it's a desktop it's cheaper to make a custom build so i'd say do a custom build
it's also just more fun to actually make the computer
