Anyone know anything about acting?

As some of you may know my dream is to be an actress (movie star). I am taking performing arts as one of my options. I am thinking about going to a drama school but there in London?
I want to sign up to go into Coronation Street. Then maybe if I'm lucky into movies.
My friends and family say I have the confidence and think I will get there, but I don't know about agents and stuff. (I've looked into this with my parents)
I spoke to drama teachers and they said they will do there best to help me, and gave me some information.
If anyone knows anything about acting please help

Theres school that specifies acting and other things, my friend wants to go there for college, its in london though:http://www.artsed...urriculum/ the fee is a bitch though lol £13,350 per year O_o

Thanks, trying to look things up about drama schools around UK/US. Hmmmm this crap is hard

hmm ive been an onstage actor for many a year  . I love it and alot of people think im good at it. I dont know if that will help with move acting though lol . I dont know of good london schools since i live in the usa lol. But if you dont make movies right off, perhaps try making yourself a name in stage shows since those are popular too ;D;D nothing better then having a live audience!

when ou first get on stage you get a bit of a adrenaline rush, followed by fear, but if you know your stuff, it goes great! its so fun! sometimes scary but you get the hang of it

I've done like 6million school plays when I was younger but that was with just 200 people, I couldn't imagine doing it with more :S

Few things.
First I recommend taking care of yourself. Meaning be healthy and exercise. Because unfountently lot of places will base their Canadates base on looks before seeing the talent the person p possessed.
Another thing is when on stage don't imagine people in their underwear because there will always be that one or few Idiots going commando lol.
I hope you can achieve your dreams. Should you get into movie biz i want free Movies. Thanks. |

Try to get as much experience as possible - find some local drama organisations that put on performances and get involved. There must be some in Manchester!

ive been in one sinder with 1500 total over 3 nights about 500 per night ;D and a relatively decent role ;D
YA GOTTA LOV MUSICALS !!!!
But back to the subject agreed wih ninja get some experience and also try to make a name for yourself usually its easier to get into movies if you have on stage experience
