[1]•Covenant seperatists (+arby) fighting the covenant remnant (elites vs elites!). We MIGHT see the brutes back too, assuming that the sangheili-jiralhanae war isnt over yet.
[2]•Chief goes to the remains of the didacts ship on earth in search for cortana, since shes still in the composer's system. We could also see chief retrieve her by just putting his hand on her hologram earlier, without using the(now destroyed) chip.
[3]•On earth he meets a new enemy species: Human AIs/Knights, since New Phoenix, the city directly under the didacts ship, was composed by the ur-didact. (the h4 knights were prometheans; ancient humans so the 'modern' humans may look and act different)
[4]•Ur-didact survived the nade and fell into a slipspace portal, sending him to an unknown planet/installation.
[5]•Chief uses the blank chip to get M. Bias in his head, who helps him finding cortana since she's in the forerunner system
[6]•The teased forerunner creature is (the L)a(st) precursor-MB is actually a precursor mind converted into an anchilla (this happened to 343 gspark too)
This would explain the following: -Why he is the smartest anchilla ever created
-How he could communicate with gravemind (precursor+precursor)
-Why he has this huge precursor-like body (cortana is the second smartest ai and can be stored in a ai chip, why create such a huge body for 1 ai?)
-Why he posesses so much knowledge of the flood (he created them!)
[7]•The Librarianfixed and placed cortana in the domain which can be accessed with the janus key, and gave chief her rampant remains (kinda stole this theory lol)
[8]•I noticed that (spoiler) at every cutscene of a prophet's death, its clearly shown how they get "finished" and thus actually killed by the flood/gravemind. We also know that the prophets made the brutes their protectors due to failure of the elites.
The reason why the brutes have formed an alliance(this is not confirmed)with the elites is because they want to regain their honor by taking revenge on the flood (cause they made them fail as protectors) but they cant fight them alone. Since the humans were already allies of the elite seperatists, there is now a rebellion of 3 races (and grunts and all that ofc) formed against the reclamation of the flood.
- Optional: Chief manages to get the forerunners on their side too (since the flood are their sworn enemies) by talking with mendicant bias, who has been forgiven by his masters.
[9]•Bornstellar makes eternal lasting takes revenge on the chief for killing his 2nd personality; ur-didact.
[10]•Halo 6 ending: Chief composes himself (yes there are more composers), thus sort of suicides to get in the system of the composers where he reunites with cortana who is also captured in the system.
[11]•Chief gets kinda insane after the loss of cortana. He finds a way that might bring her back: A suicide mission on the Ark to find Mendicant Bias. The UNSC wants to stop him because they know this mission will become his death, so he stays hidden from them using a cloak.
As chief gets closer to the location where Mendicant Bias is resting, a massive guardian (war sphinx?) appears in front of him and spreads its wings to show him that he can't pass. Chief shows or ''sacrifices'' the Cortana chipto show the creature the reason why he has to wake M. bias. (additional: Cortana possesses information about something (flood, humans) and is the last hope for the galaxy, and bias knows this.)

I think Halo 5 is going to be about chief trying to find out how to get Cortana back. The possibility of halo 5 is unlikely because they are developing this trilogy around the reclaimer series. I think we will defiantly see a return in the forerunner because I doubt 343 would trash an enemy they just introduced. Maybe we might see some Precursor action? I don't know, I would also really love to see the flood making a comeback.
Dream as if you will live forever, Live as if you will die tomorrow.
I think Halo 5 is another fan-made game just like Halo Reach and Halo 4. So what is this 'Halo 5' that you speak of anyways? I thought Halo ended at 3. 'Finish The Fight' Get it???

Precursors in the game would be cool. maybe something like you form an alliance with the last surviving precursor and that he creates a new flood-like species out of himself to stop the prometheans so you basicly fight with the new flood on your side
That would make sense because the precursors created the flood as a revenge for the forerunners. Halo 3 was the last game at the time because it was made by bungie, but bungie separated from Microsoft so Microsoft created 343i to continue the halo series.

If you didn't get that at the end of halo 4 the humans were kinda looking like the bad guys then you werent really paying attention. he has just lost his closest friend and now really has nothing left. whether this means that he will just snap or whether he wants to take revenge on the UNSC i dont really know. But this is my opinion and the common opinion on the internet including that of machinima etc. Once again either way im pretty sure it has something to do with the enemy being the UNSC as it was kinda made clear in halo 4. dont ask me why cause its kinda hard to explain.

Halo 3 wasn't the last game made by Bungie..
Halo Reach was. But Halo Reach's storyline followed before the first Halo explaining about the Noble Team and the secrets of Cortana and Master Chief before how Halo series was started in the Pillar of Autumn ship.
^ So maybe chief is on earth looking for cortana, since hes holding a chip with him which is likely an older cortana chip or the chip of his new AI, tho he looks sort of lonely.
The 'orange' circle shaped thingy on the background kinda looks like an opened cryptum to me, comparing it to the opened cryptum in h4. This would make sense since the ur-didact was isolated in a cryptum on earth long ago and later released by bornstellar makes eternal lasting. Also, im not the only one who thinks the huge forerunner 'bird' matches the description of a war sphinx, a forerunner war vehicle. This would fit my theory since the sphinxes were left on earth to protect the cryptum. Also war sphinxes need a driver, so maybe bornstellar-didact or one of the didacts sons who turns out to be alive somehow? or it might be an updated version of the sphinx that doesnt need a driver idk
Others say that the chief might be on Reach's moon (forgot the name) because the yellow/orange thingy looks like a planet: Reach.
Or he's at a new Halo installation?
@Ledapus The UNSC might become enemies too, since theyre trying to rule everything. At least I hope john and halsey form an alliance, board infinity and beat the shit out of del rio. I can see that happening, kinda like the airport mission on mw2 :D

Here are 5 possible theories:
1. His armor is badly damaged and he cant fix it without cortana
2. The sand will go between the "gaps" of his armor
3. He doesnt want to draw attention; maybe the UNSC is looking for him because they disagree with the mission
4. Maybe its very hot, too hot for his armors gel layers
5. Its just a lame excuse of 343 to not reveil him til the end of the teaser

This matches and summarizes all my earlier theories. This must be h5's plot, pretty sure.
Maybe you'll get MB as an ally/tactical AI in your head as a replacement for cortana? Fuck cortana, I want Bias in my head. He rox.
I doubt that tho. But he will have a big role.
Short explanation of MB:
05-032 Mendicant Bias was the smartest anchilla (forerunner AI) ever made. He was created as weapon against the flood. Gravemind convinced him to betray his masters. He took 5 halos to fire at them. The forerunners and offensive bias destroyed the 5 rings (causing 7 to remain) and locked him up on the lesser ark. Here he tries to communicate with chief using terminals. Btw while locked up he recovered from rampancy and admitted guilt.
In the first halo games, it was all focused on the covenant. They later focused on their background, history and beliefs, revealing the forerunners, eventually having to fight them.
Now, it's all focused on the forerunners. They will later focus on their background and beliefs (h5), revealing the precursors, eventually having to fight them (h6). The UNSC starts producing jaegers/mark VIIIs: giant humanlike robots controlled by 2 players. The player would have to punch dem precursors using the advanced kinect.

Or at the very least Chief discovers that aspect.
Something like this could actually happen, since chief, after the loss of cortana, will start to care about others, discover his human side and stuff like dat
The upcoming halo comic is confirmed to release in december this year. The author also confirmed that the storyline takes place directly after halo 4's spartan ops events and said that the plot will be about UNSC infinity going on a mission that has something to do with the Arbiter(yep, thel vadam from h2 and 3)and the brutes. Im pretty sure infinity is heading to sanghelios to help the arbiter, but its not exactly sure wether theyre searching for him to help the chief, to help him fight the brutes, or maybe the elite seperatists are trying to get a truce with the brutes?
Anyways, with 343 also stating that the upcoming Halo (prolly h5) will follow the story of infinity directly after spartan ops, there's a big chance that the plot in the comic is or at least has something to do with halo 5's plot. Which means:helping or fighting the brutes and maybe even playing as the arbiter again?
So this formal yet very big plot detail makes room for new discussions, theories and predictions. I already said in my first theory that we might see elite vs elite battles, since the covenant remnant (h4's scumbag elites) wont just be kicked out of the picture after 1 game and everywhere were arbiter is, are elite seperatists (good guy elites from h2 and 3).
But imagine it.. Forerunners, good and bad elites, brutes, prometheans, flood (cause chief wakes m. bias) unsc, chief, arbiter, sentinels since chief is on the ark and possibly even precursors?
All aspects from every halo game that ''made halo'' will be put together in 1 game, so this game might just become the ultimate halo game;the definition of halo..
New theory: Chief asks mendicant bias to help the unsc and elite seperatists in the war against the brutes (and possibly flood).
OR Infinity heads for the arbiter to tell him to find and eliminate the chief while the unsc fight off the forerunners/prometheans/flood who allied with chief and halsey. Arbiter agrees with this, but on his journey he meets mendicant bias/a precursor who tells him the truth about chief and the unsc. Arbiter changes his mind and decides, along with his elites, to group with halsey and chief. (ok some aspects in this theory will never happen for sure lol)

Well just watched the E3 trailer for Halo 5 and it just looks like "crysis meets transformwers" which is terrible. Hope it is the ultimate Halo game however that trailer is just awful hope that is not the game ends MasterCheif just walking in some sandy area covered in a brown disguise and a massive robot just ambushes him :/.
Sorry, but i dont accept any hackers as my cousins or friends.. :/-Vulture

Hmm. The way he just stops walking as if he knew it was going to happen, the way he looks at his chip and then at the creature.. I think its not an ambush. But i think its not mendicant bias either, so why would it approach him?
Hmm. New theory.
As you may know, there are strong theories of chief rebelling against the UNSC, not going into further details. This would match with the reason of the cloaking; Frank O'Connor confirmed that he uses it to stay hidden. So why would the UNSC hunt him?>>
Chief is mentally broke after the loss of cortana. He goes kinda crazy and somehow finds a way that might bring her back: A suicide mission on the Ark to find Mendicant Bias, who posesses all the forerunner knowledge; thus the system of the composers; thus cortana's data. However, the Lesser Ark became a very dangerous place in the past few years, due to the return of the flood, forerunners, precrsors, a new enemy, or it's taken over by brutes. The UNSC wants to stop him because they know he got insane and that this mission will become his death.
As chief gets closer to the location where Mendicant Bias is resting, a massive guardian (war sphinx?) appears in front of him and spreads its wings to show him that he can't pass. Chief shows or ''sacrifices'' the Cortana chip to show the creature the reason why he has to wake M. bias.
