So for the last few months since my brother has passed away. i been dealing with all kinds of emotions by myself... not once has any of my family called to see how im doing or how im holding up.
Its really starting to get to me... theres times i just want to give up. im not sure what to do any more.

Not sure what to say mandi. We all know its gotta be tough. I went through alot when I was with my now ex wife. Was at work and got phone call from her saying her father was just killed one morning. Not much of her family called her to talk to her about it or checked up on her. She just started taking antidepressants and that really doesn't work well. She just became a different person and from being so spirited to droopy and down all the time. I ask that you please don't let the same thing happen to you. Remember you have those four beautiful babies who love you no matter what. |

Im pretty sure thats already happened. so yeah. ive already told my husband if there another tornado that comes thro here this year.. im getting in my truck an going to drive right thro it.
ive changed completely. im not myself anymore. an i can tell that.

Life always presents people with obstacles that can hurt the individual greatly. I can't say that I've been to that deep part of life before, but I can tell you know it won't be permanent, as life is ever changing and you will come out of it a stronger person than before.
I know it hurts to lose loved ones, that's something you and I can relate to. But no one not your children or family would want you to go away. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
I am truly sorry for your loss and even though my words may be fruitless just know that there is always hope. You are loved by this clan and by your husband and children. If you are feeling really depressed, I suggest going to therapy, it does help.

ive went to it... they put me on meds... the same meds i was on be4 an they dont work. an ive told them that. its not just the loose of my brother. its my husbands dad always saying im worthless. an im not a good mom.. cus my kids happen to get dirty or drawl on themselves with a pen.... um kids do that! an he dont care he thinks my kids should be spotless 24/7 an keep saying they'll adopt them cuss im not good enough an that i should get a job an take care of 4 kids an my husband.. an that josh "my husband" shouldnt have to do a thing. then my sisters an my other brother says im worthless. an im starting to believe it.

I know this sounds like a bad thing to say given the stigma around therapists but perhaps you should consider seeing one. They can be very helpful especially after a traumatic experience like losing a sibling like you did.

Even if it doesn't feel like it at times, you are loved and valued for who you are, as you are. Don't be fooled into believing that others' mis-thought words make you anything other than the great person who you are.
You have four beautiful children who depend on you and love you more than anything in the world - and they have a beautiful mother who feels the same way.
There will be tough times to overcome, but it just makes the good times so much sweeter.

Here's something to make ya chuckle. I have some family that have said bad things to me too. My little sister last mothers day, reminding me now its coming back up, called me an ---hole in front of the hole family because I got done explaining how credit cards work and the mathematics behind it and my mom said that's not how it works and I defended myself of course. I called my sister a bi--- and said f--- you! in front of the whole family and my dad just turned the other way. I'm not the little kid they all took me for years ago. First time I put one of my annoying family members in their place! And it felt good.
Moral of my incident. Take what they say with a grain of salt and put em their place if you have to. Sometime that's just the only way. |

Rawr you will always have those ups and downs in your life. Right now you just gotta keep your head up and look at things positively and be grateful for what you have. You have 4 beautiful children and will always be the best mom to them. Don't listen and believe what other people say cause it's probably not true. Have a positive outlook and you will be positive. Exactly. Life will always give you hard times, but sometimes you need to live with them. Sit down and work out a way past them. Dont care how much time it will take, but you need to rest.

Rawr you have to put sad things down in your life. Smile for that is his dedication he would probably like to see. Sometimes you gotta tough it out through the bad but i promise you after you get through the terrible things everything will get a lot better. Have hope in yourself. I promise everything will get better after the bad things i promise.

You can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends. Rely on the people who DO care, and blow off the family that doesn't. You can always make new friends, too - in case your friends are like your family. My best friend has gotten me through some of the worst times of my life, and when you can't rely on family - your friends are the best best thing. I tell my bestie sometimes that she is the family my heart chose, you need a friend like that.
