Well, I thought it'd be interesting to share with you all on some of the questions I get when I tell people I'm Korean.
1) Do you know who PSY is?
2) Can you translate Gangnam Style for me?
3) Are you a communist?
4) Can you do Kung Fu?
5) Where's the best place to get Korean BBQ?
6) Can you write my name in Korean?
7) Can you tell me all the cuss words in Korean?
8) Is Kim Jong-Un a good leader?
9) Do you like K-Pop?
10) Are you North Korean?
11) How much did you miss on your driving test?
Stereotypical I know, but I deal with it all the time and it gets me to laugh every now and then
What are some questions people ask you if your of a different ethnicity other than Anglo-Saxon.
Where's Israel?
Can you point to the nearest McDonals?
Being white, I suppose there aren't many ethnic questions people ask me. Haha. Its an interesting topic.
I would of asked you if you were from North or South, then I would talk to you like a normal person lol
When I tell people I'm from the Dominican Republic, they always ask me why am I so white...lol So I always explain to them that 16% is white (me), 11% black, and 73% mixed, which is the ones most people see.

This is a super awesome thread. Very interesting. When I lived in NY people thought it was crazy that I was from Texas, cause I don't wear cowboy boots, lol, also, I'm hispanic so the questions I got are:
Do you like spicy food? (no)
Have you ever ridden a horse? (yes, but in California, not Texas)
Why do you drive so slow? (I'm just driving normal)
Why don't you speak Spanish? (because I never had to learn)
You're not scared to go to Mexico? (Yes, actually I am, LOL!)
When I went to Ireland, people asked me how I could vote for Bush (I didn't), and they usually ignored me completely because they all hated Americans back then (I don't know how they feel now).
Usually the reactions I get when people find out where I'm from are stereotypical, too - I'm from Texas and I'm hispanic so they assume I should be wearing cowboy boots and a pancho... which is pretty accurate for a lot of people where I live, but I am from the "city" not the "rancho."

Why are you scared about going to Mexico? It is not how news say it is, i know there are dangerous cities because the mafia like Tijuana or Michoacan but that doesnt mean you cant go to Mexico... Most of the cities are awesome, its not like you are going on the street and a bomb would explode... but ok i know that's how the rest of the world see South America, you can have an awesome and a good time there.
