[TUT] Halo Custom Edition Download & Maps

Ok ZA, I am going to make a tutorial on how to download Halo Custom Edition and put the maps on . For any confusion, Halo CE means Halo Custom Edition, and Halo PC means the regular halo in which we play on. Without further a due, let’s begin.
1. The download link for Halo CE is ------- > http://hce.haloma...fm?fid=410
The website page should look like this 
Make sure you have your Halo CD in your disk drive because it will ask you to have it inserted when you install the game. Plug in your cd key just as you would with regular Halo PC.
Once your update the patch and all, it should be working regularly. Now the tricky part is where people get discouraged and quit trying to find a way for CE Maps to work . Luckily, you have me to help you out. Also, make sure you have WinRar installed on your pc, you will need it to extract the maps later. http://www.win-ra...l?&L=0
2. Go to http://hce.haloma..., and look for a map you would like, or a map that is going to be used playing with ZA.
After you see a map that you like, for instance, lets say you like the map ‘’ BC Spooky Hollow’’. After clicking the map , you will be brought up to the page for the download. 
Once it’s downloaded, you should be able to see the files via winrar and look similar to this 
3. Go to your Halo Custom Edtion icon on the desktop, and RIGHT CLICK and go to Properties . Go to Open file location as shown here . 
Once you found it, go to your maps folder as shown here. 
Click it, and bring up your Winrar folder with the downloaded map. Drag the map to the Maps Folder like shown here 
So there you have it ZA, this is how to install Halo CE, and get the downloaded custom maps into your halo folder. By the way it’s 12-21-2012 and Im the only one left in my city left alive after countless asteroids hit.
**** EDIT ***** MAKE SURE TO CLICK APPLY AND OK WHEN YOU ARE DONE PUTTING THE MAPS OR THEY WILL BE ERASED IF YOU EXIT OUT

First, you posted this under the wrong forum. Second, who are you?. Third, out of curiosity why are you posting this? Just an fyi, I already have CE as do many ZA members.

As someone posted in the previous CE Thread about making a CE Server, some people were commenting that they did not know how to download Halo Custom Edition, or they did not know how to download maps and transfer them to the Halo CE Folders. And just an fyi, this thread was for members who were having trouble. |
