Can you edit the post and put other candidates on there? Because personally I am voting for Gary Johnson. I am totally fed up with the 2-party shutouts, as there are more people running and the electoral college successfully shuts them out because they could win popular vote but not electoral vote with the way the Media plays it off. I also feel that abortions are wrong. But its not like if a republican gets voted into office they are going to ban abortions. Abortions will never get banned regardless of who is in office. So i feel the abortion argument isn't really the most important issue.

I don't vote for several reason: the primary reason being that I don't stay abreast of the TRUTH so I'm not well informed enough to vote. Also, I don't want to be responsible for electing someone terrible for the country and I think every politician is full of shit. I wouldn't invite them home to dinner, why would I invite them into the White House? Also, I understand how voting actually works and the electoral college isn't required to cast a vote in line with the public's vote. Also - I am not arrogant enough to claim that I know what is best for the country and I don't support anyone else arrogant enough to claim that he or she is what is right for this country. Finally, I don't really think the US Prezzie really has the power to do or stop all the things he or she claims they will do or stop - that's the purpose of checks and balances, to prevent anyone from doing anything, LOL! But in all seriousness - government officials are in a never ending political, bureaucratic, bi-partisan war funded by rich taxpayers and corporations.
I don't think you should vote for one person because of their stance on one issue such as abortion. Even if they fix that you're stuck with them and their decisions for the next four years.
What's wrong with Obamacare, by the way? Republicans always seem to say that it's a bad idea but what is wrong with free healthcare for those who need it? It's a system we've had in Britain for 64 years and it's something we're quite proud of, actually.
As far as I can tell, Obama has actually led the country very effectively over the last four years. Romney, I believe, wants to increase military spending. In a recession. When hundreds/thousands of billions are spend every year on it anyway. And his solution is that he's cutting funding to the PBS. His financial plan doesn't make sense. I'd rather have a president that actually thought out and laid out their plans for everyone to see. Like Obama.
I won't pretend I'm up on American politics but I know enough to have worked out that Obama is actually a good politician compared to what we have and what you could have and that Mitt Romney will pretend to be in support of anything if it will get him more votes, then turn around and say something stupid like 'the problem with America is that 47% of Americans don't pay income tax' (ignoring the fact that that includes many soldiers, pensioners, students and Romney's own family).
In fact, would now be a good time to tell a political joke?

I don't vote either. I am 33 years old and an educated man. If I was forced to vote it would be obama. No brainer, but i couldnt have said it better myself STARFRUIT. I admire and respect your intillectual statement.

I don't really follow polictics, but I'd probably be more likely to vote for Obama. Seeing that the main reason people are giving to vote for Romney is his stance on abortion (clever considering the number of Christians in America?) and increased military funding, I don't think I could ever vote for him.
Does America have a green party equivalent?
