How many seagulls do you think it would take to bring down a bear?
Context: we've just locked the bears and seagulls in a 20x20x10m cage, the seagulls having instructions to attack the bear. It's a brown bear.

I like questions like these, they allow you to think about stuff that has nothing to do with anything else. |

The bear isn't tied, it can fight back.

Have you seen seagulls? They're pretty big. All seagulls fight.

Seagulls have swoopabilities. And good aim. I think in the right circumstances, one seagull would do it. Take out the eyes, he stumbles off a cliff, dinner time. LOL! But in all reality, it would take several because the beaks are only so long and the fur is quite thick.

One seagull could do it but if you repeated the experiment with random seagulls then most of them couldn't.
See this from the bear's point of view; it's only a seagull. I mean, bears are fucking big. If I changed the question so it was 'how many seagulls could a bear take on' you'd probably say it's higher because hey, bears.
And Code that would involve humans; I said seagulls. And if seagulls are doing that then they are truly more cold and heartless than I had imagined.

Wait, your cage measurements are far too accurate.
Is this... legit? ANIMAL RIGHTS!!
Anyway, depends on the cage's holes. If the holes are big enough for the seagull to fit through, then one seagull could take on a bear by flying out and backstabbing the bear. It could also throw stuff at the cage until it tips over, knocking the bear out so that the seagull can just peck at it.
If the cage's holes are too small for a seagull to fit through, no amount of seagulls could take on the bear. If there were over 50, they just wouldn't fit. Under 50, the bear could just swat at them and butcher those darn rodents. |

Well if the cage fell out of an airplane at 10000 meters then the seagull would have a distinct advantage. He could just peck the bear all the way to the ground and then the bear would die upon impact and the seagull could presumably live since it can fly.

@Brick Nope.
@Code Humans aren't involved in the fight. Obviously theyput them in there.
@Carnage Really? Dropping it out of an aeroplane? That's just silly.

Ocelots are silly.
But yes, it's possible for 1 seagull to do it, not half though lol. |

if the seagulls just fly around up high until the bear falls asleep, then just a few could easily do it... land out of reach and stuff since it is 10metres high
