this is the issue. if i am directly connected to modem anyone can join my server, but when i am using router nobody can join. my windows firewall is turned off and i am using firewall from Norton 360. i went in and added ports tcp 80, UDPs-2302,2303, and 2304 into my Norton. still people can't join the server.
if someone can help me, i will appreciate it.
and also, i created a new rule and added ports.
ok guys i figured it out. this is how you do it.
type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser. this will take you into your router and add the following ports.

note: how to determine your ip address
go to start, run, type cmd, hit enter. type ipconfig on the new window and hit enter. use the ip address not the default gateway or subnet mask.

that would probably work but i wouldn't recommend disabling Norton lol. there must be another way.
hmm i dont think its the norton, the issue is in the router i think. because when directly connected to modem people can join the server.

change the connection type to T1/LAN if you are using high speed internet. you will have 16 players then. |

Is this through Halo, or on a Home dedi?
