Probably in the wrong section. So I need someone good with computers to xfire me. I had a trojan virus. Screwed everything up. So I backed up my files and deleted my whole system(No not windows 32 lol, not that dum But I haven't been able to get halo to work in normal mode just safe. And some other things. I know Slim is awesome at this stuff, but I also know he works ALOT. So if someone has some free time on there hands please xfire me at dudeman1130.
Thank you in advance,
Chad (Dudeman)

I would help, but I bet you wouldn't trust me to teamview you and manually take it out.
Try getting AVG or Maleware on your computer.. Get a better virus protection, then clean it out. Btw, don't download random shit on sites. That'd help ya not get em'. ;D

I wouldn't use AVG, id use Avast and do a boot scan. Most likely those files you backed up may have that virus on there too. I have quite a few tools to help out on this kind of stuff. Xfire me later if you want.

only way to make sure that all the viruses are gone is to format your hard drive.
that way you are 100 percent safe. you will have to do a lot of updating and stuff, but you want to be safe as well. |

BS Coke lol and stunt, thats not always the case. but if you feel insecure about it. then yes. I would go through a few things before considering wipe and reloading a computer.

Download the free version, then perform a full scan on your computer Dudeman. Hope this helps. Got 13 viruses outta my friend's Registry with this antivirus program.

If you were to have me help id set you up with Avast, SpyBot S&D, Malware Bytes, and CCleaner. After i was finished and it wouldn't work then i suggest bigger methods of removal... Like the wipe and reload. If you dont have a disk you can try system restore hopefully that virus diddnt get into your hidden partition. If it did hopefully you have a OS disk from that computer. If not i can direct you to a torrent ive used before. Depending on the OS of course.

^ Red is right. Also, you do need the installation disk to completely wipe out the hard drive. If you have an external hard drive, put all of your important files (don't put on a system image) and then format. Or, if you have a computer from a manufacturer (HP, Dell, Toshiba, etc.) it will have Windows preinstalled and you'll be out of luck on the fomatting the hard drive option. So, if that's the case, do this:
Start the PC up > Immediately start rapidly tapping F10 > Windows will start, and then a screen will come up and ask you what kind of help you need > Select "I need help now" (I did this several weeks ago for my older sister because the rest of my family is illiterate with technology, so I might not remember correcly the rest) > Select Restore to Factory state (makes the PC exactly the way you bought it.) > Let that run its course, then reboot and re-setup your PC.
These directions apply to Windows 7 only, I never could get familiar with past OSs and Macs.

I had AVG Coke lol, this is what I've done so far.
1) Deleted whole drive (except Windows Vista of course)
2) Checked both C:// and D:// for errors and fixed them.
3) Downloaded AVG antivirus and I still had Norton for 60 days but removed it(I don't like Norton takes too much CPU power and litterally is a POS)
4) Downloaded Malwarebytes, CCleaner
5) Reinstalled Halo (for the 4th time? LOL) Same shit (sorry for my language, but really)
6) Just got off work so I'm about to download and install iTunes (Plug in external hard drive) copy music, movies etc. and download VLC media player.
This is my question, Why did halo run fine before.....very little lag before. And now I have lag hardcore/Lag out every map change etc. Like really this is going to bring my RQ's up in ZA so bad until I fix this problem.
P.S. Please don't give me the answer get a new computer. Because I am going to get a new computer just have to wait 3-4 months first theres a lot going on. Transferring to a new school, exams coming up etc. Oh and paying off a $800 credit card debt lol......So I will get a new computer when I'm making 3k a month over the summer
