We were driving along for a while. The windows were tinted so black that it was hard see through them from the inside. I'm having no effects so far. But I didn't inhale to much gas before I made it into the monument. I don't know about the other people that ran all the way to back to the buses through the gas. They were exposed to more that we were. Other people just tried to cover their mouths. I saw no one fall down when the gas came down. So either it was a fake or just didn't have any immediate effects. We arrived at a building somewhere in the city. In the distance I can see a yellow haze and people rushing out of the city. There were quarantined sections that were marked with the yellow hazard tape and warning signs. I can hear cars honking on the highway in the distance. The officials escort us into the building which from the outside looks like a run down for lease shop. But once we enter the halls are a bright white. It smells like that sterile hospital smell. We are led into a big room that looks to be an auditorium. Other people are standing around looking confused. We must be one of the last last people to come in because after we enter the doors close behind us and another official appears on the stage. The official is a woman who looks to be about in her mid fifties with long graying brownish hair. She is wearing a white lab coat with some stains on it that look to be from coffee. She has glasses that are to big for her head. She looks sleep deprived and has bags under her eyes.
"Everyone take a seat." she says. We look around for some seats and find some near the back.
"Wonder why we're here." I say. "Shouldn't they be keeping us in quarantine?"
"You watch to many horror movies." Lea says.
"Ya well I have nothing better to do." I reply.
"I'm sure all of you wondering why you are here. Due to the recent gassings that occurred hours ago, we need people to, well, examine. All of you will be placed in separate quarters. You will be given three meals a day and the amount of calories you get will depend on how healthy you are, and your physical status. The officials here will hand out room numbers and will escort you to them. You are dismissed."
