It has been three weeks since the bio weapons have gone off. Many places in major cities are quarantined off. I myself managed to escape DC before I could inhale to much of the noxious air. One of my friends that I knew died not to long ago. Yesterday at 5:00pm. I remember him laying hopelessly in his bed. Shivering and sweating from the illness. The disease is claimed not to be contagious, but I keep back anyway. Avoiding his coughing and vomiting. I watched at one by one his limbs went pale from the arteries clogging. His heart finally gave out. The day the weapons went off, that day is seared into my memory. We were on a field trip to the Washington Monument.
"Okay class, everyone get into your groups and gather your supplies. Each of you should have a pencil, and a notebook to record what you find out." That was Mrs. Paulson, our old naggy history teacher. She is a real bitch at times. There was not a lot of air travel today. Strange as how Dulles International is near by. Oh well it didn't really matter that much. I was in a group with my friends Ben, Paul, and my girlfriend Lea. Ben's mother was our chaperone. She is a nice woman. Anyways, after Mrs. Paulson took role we finally spit up and walked around the Mall. There wasn't that much interesting stuff around. A few plaques here and there. We copied down a few things. I notice a very loud roaring close by. A plane is flying very low to the ground. Too low. No pilot would ever fly that low. The landing gears start to open, but I notice that wheels don't come out. Instead long silver nozzles come out. They start to spew this yellowish gas into the air.
"What the?..." I start.
"Everyone stay calm. This is nothing to be afraid about." Mrs. Paulson said.
"How do you know that? I'm sure whoever is doing this won't be doing it if there were random people right under it." some loud-mouth kid said.
"Do you want to be written up? If you do I'll be happy to escort you back to the bus."
"Bitch shut up you have no idea what is going on."
"Fine then come with me."
"No way in hell am I walking through that gas."
"Move. Now. Daniel."
Just then the plane flies right above us and sprays the gas all around us. I cover my mouth and nose and try not to breath it in. It makes me teary eyed. I suddenly wonder if this will instantly kill me. If this gas will burn my skin like it does in games and movies. Panic and terror start to creep in. I grab my friends and we head into the monument where there is no gas. We close the door and head up the stairs.
"What is that stuff?" Paul asks while coughing.
"I have no idea." Ben says.
"You OK, Lea?" I ask.
"Yea, I'm fine."
