Wanker Posts: 592 Joined: 18.11.10	first off hey every one. for awhile now i have had halo on my new custom built gaming computer. it's plays fable lost chapters perfectly but on halo i keep getting the box in the bottom right corner. a few members have tried to help but no luck. i've looked for a solution online for hours on end no help. I think it's something to do with the frame rate cause on some settings it happens a few more seconds apart. on the computer i play on most of the time every one is grey no shadows or decals but it works fine. i don't get why it won't work right on a better vid-card. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Don't bare the name if you can't play the game!

Super Admin Posts: 4174 Joined: 15.11.10	The box is to do with interwebs connection I think. Is it connected to the same internet router in the same way? Try toggling your settings.

Numpty Posts: 1181 Joined: 30.12.10	try changeing to novsync that was how i was able to play halo a bit smoother. and try setting ur fps as high as it can go. ingame should be smoother but as far as the net goes im not too sure. have you tried resetting the router? or maybe the OS's firewall is blocking halo? Wanker Posts: 592 Joined: 18.11.10	novysnc made it occur more often. i did go int o properties then compatibility resolution640 x 480 and disable visual affects checked 240 colors didn't help. if it is internet idk why it's doing it since it is always excellent on the wireless router. Don't bare the name if you can't play the game!

Super Admin Posts: 1707 Joined: 24.07.11	the redbox indicates that either a network cable (ethernet) is unplugged (or loose / coming loose) or your wireless network isnt working properly. changing visual settings should have no effect on whether or not your connection is strong. Try checking out your ethernet cable if your hardlined to internet or try resetting your router and modem alternately it could be the servers are having problems since i sometimes redbox now also hope it helps.
