You are being super ignorant now. I never said the whole world is going to devote to astronomy. Did you know there are millions of people right now looking through garbage for food? Don't you think they have something better to do? Yes, but they CAN'T, if they don't eat, they die. But look at America with all it's food... doesn't make sense? Yes it does, because many people are greedy, *cough* *cough* SOCIALISM.
With respect, cry me a river. We all have our own crosses to bear, we can't just drop anything to look after the world. If I don't eat, I die too. If my brother and sister don't eat, I'll die too. I live just two shades away from poverty- we're not very rich- and I've had to go without just to ensure I have enough money for university travel fees.
A perfect world where everyone gets along in harmony doesn't exist, because for that everyone would need to put their own problems behind everyone else's.
Yes, but some people are greedy and take away from the poor. Also many governments in the world are not taking care of it's people to the full potential they can. I'm not saying to drop what your doing to help others, but to make positive change on your free time and also strive to make a good future for yourself, and whenever you have excess, help out others in need. Does anyone see anything wrong with that?
I'm like you when it comes to being financially stable, I come from a poor country.
Oh really? Last time I checked there's only one Earth... But yes, not presently, but it is possible. Did you know a lot of people waste a large amount of time dealing with problems that are not suppose to be there in the first place? And also most can be easily resolved.
You can ask me anything you like, most problems, there are solutions to them.
Brick, you're talking about the government as if they're some kind of divine mother.
The government is a business. It is a body which works to provide us with many services. Though it works differently to other businesses, as we are forced to pay for its' services, it is at heart a business itself.
The politicians are basically the marketing department. They try to work out what services we want and how best to put them across to us.
Though yes, the government is a terrible business and functions ridiculously badly, it is not obligated to care for you like a child. All the government is obligated to do is provide us with quality services.
They really should provide us with better services though. That's a sure thing

A government is a system that governs people in a certain amount of space. The government is not divine, but it's what tells us what we can do, or what e can't do.
Example: Some gay people want to marry and can't because of the government. Some places like North Korea have no freedom of speech. People in Florida want to smoke some weed, but in California it's all good without being criminalized for it. You get my examples...
The government is not suppose to be a business, who in the world told you THAT?????? The government is here to keep order and peace. But most run like a business.
We are not forced to pay for it's services, you're too young to understand, almost everyone need these services, even the richest people need these services that many are not offered in other places in the world.
Be thankful for what you have.
And you know how you say they should provide better service? They could, it's up to the people, they have the power to vote and make a change.
