how does it work? is it like last time where its teams? does the winning team get the spots or the 2 highest scoring ppl in server? Teams arent really IMO the best way to decide who is the best to move on, lets say im a really good sniper and get paired with another really good sniper my team is almost auto won. Also if im a really good sniper and get paired with 2 or 3 bad players i almost auto lose since if the other team is any good at all they can just pick off my teammates instead of me and still win so it doesnt really represent how good i am.
Imo i think it should be ffa since the other team is going to have 6 players u need to be able to defend yourself from all sides. So ffa would better represent how the tourney will really be.

The try outs will parallel the match itself.
It will be teams, snipers, bloodgulch, score kills.
Highest two scorers (score kills) move on to the official match next month, regardless of what team they were on.

well if the bad player that tries out gets stuck on your team you have a really hard tme pulling through i mean the other team is going to destroy that player and rack up kills while u have noone on the opposing team to destory but w/e the only flaw i see with the team thing is the skill levels on the players on each sides your skill level is almost determined by who is or who isnt on your team.

the only ppl interested in trying out are people interested in snipers. there shouldn't be anyone so awful on one team that two other players will score enough by default to move on to the rematch next month.
such as it is...

In other words people shouldn't do like i did last time and just join the tryouts just to give people some more targets to shoot at. Only people that are really serious about it should attend the tryout. Of course that is not meant to discourage people from trying out just to say if you have no real intention to compete, don't.

no offence to anyone here but if we take a look back at the last tryouts i think that if some of the ppl on skylines team were on adders team skyline might have won. Look at skylines teammates deaths he had no control over that so he got screwed. I mean skyline was the only one with a positive kdr on his team excluding carnage who showed up late. Also sky had primarlily adder and wings as his only to targets for the whole game so he had it a little tougher than they did. Not a good way to represent how good you individually are i'd actually say sky did the best with what he was given.
i don't see how a ffa wouldnt be a good way to represent your OWN skill. the real match will be teams yes but you'll be up against 6 ppl that are going to spawn kill you while your spawn killing them back. A ffa shows how good you are agianst multiple targets at a fast pace rate which is what the team needs, ppl that are good at sniping agianst multiple targets in any situtation.
My final thoughts on the matter does anyone agree with this?

Teams helps. Yes, an individual's skill can be assessed in an FFA, but that does not give them any experience in playing with a team. Yes I know, if a player can do well on his own, then added members will just run up the skill ratio right? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If you can gain the experience of playing with a team and communication through team chat or team speak, the collaboration can be a great tool than just having the "good guy" and there be no communication.
In addition, look at what collaboration did in the last match. If it was not for that, the match would have gone differently possibly. Playing with a team can totally change a person's way of playing. It does for me. So IMO, teams is a good idea. But only if the teams contain members at all the same skill level and all members are equally involved.
