I just took it to the shop today and cleaned it out, replaced some fans, etc. Hopefully it works a bit better. If worse comes to worse, I have my research computer in my room to play on

My temps when not playing halo are around 40 Celsius to 50 Celsius.
After it started tearing last night I quit halo for a while then went back to it. Worked fine for me until i got off. Not sure what's going on now...

Update your graphics drivers.
If you have AMD, I wouldn't suggest getting any other driver versions besides version 12.6, which is the best/stable version (Even for me).

That is quite hot for idle... Mine idle's at 28-30 cel and gets to like 54 cel MAX when gaming. Might need to replace your card... |

I have been thinking that... I really hope not. May be a while before I can get a new one.

You could buy another one the exact same? The one you linked us to was like $30 new? |

I do not have AMD on this computer. It runs Intel.

There you go, that was the problem. Integrated graphics blow d*ck. You need to put in a graphics card. xD
If you need help choosing a certain good graphics card that will be compatible with your other specs, let me know.

I thought you meant you had Intel Integrated graphics which is built-in graphics in the CPU + Motherboard. But what I meant AMD was that if you have the AMD series of graphics card (Not CPU), like the new HD 7000 series of AMD graphics which the drivers of it suck. Like when I upgraded my drivers to the new 13.1, the temperature on my graphics card would just raise up to 70 deg C. But when I downgraded back to the v12.6 drivers, I never had the temperature problem as it stays cool at 35 deg C. I've also tested the other versions like 12.8 and 12.10, both of them suck too with the same overheat and graphics error at older games. So in other words v12.6 is the best and stable for me.
About your graphics issue. You have to find the right type of drivers for your graphics card by the name + brand. So once you have it downloaded, uninstall the current ones from both Control Panel and deleting the folders that supports the graphics from its brand from Program Files, Program Data, AppData, etc. And once everything is deleted, start a fresh new installation on the graphics drivers that you just downloaded and see if it fixes the problem.
