TBH, its hard to accept that the US government is fucking around with all these other countries out there. It's not that other countries hate our lifestyle or hate what we have, they just hate our government. We're too damn patriotic and stuck-up to think anything is wrong with our military. Cut military spending? Nope, you would be considered a communist, or isolationist or what have you.

Oh btw @ a pure democracy is worst kind of government there is. Even our Founding Fathers believed a pure democracy destroyed countries - that's why they created a republic, based on Representation.
But, I guess we're seeing the limitations of the Representative Democracy in the modern age now.

Oh btw @ anarchy. I should build my case better, but here's what I think about it.
From empirical facts, we've known that Kings and Emperors existed as the first types of government. Well, at least what we consider "government" today. Just as how "capitalism" didn't exist as a word in the 1800s, but the act of pursuing profits always existed. We create these words in order to explain behavior and pursue new philosophies.
I believe Anarchy is essentially the state of Nature. There are voluntary actions that we do in order to survive - harvest crops, gather food etc. Sure, some people have the heart to share their food with others. But, everybody doesn't care about the generic "human prosperity". They just want to survive the next day, and if that need is met, then they want their children to survive the next day. From a psychological perspective, we finally reach the self-actualization stage and shit goes to hell.
This is where anarchy scares me a bit, because literally anything can happen. Even if you are in a lawless land, it is easy to get along with your neighbors to satisfy similar needs. However, if you're both stock-full and happy, then what next? Sure, there are many beautiful things that came out of boredom and serendipity. But, what is the worst possible thing that could happen at this stage? Enslavement.
I believe that "power" is a hidden desire in us all - slavery is just one extreme form of dominating power. Perhaps this is how Kings and Emperors rose to power, simply through violence and overpowering their neighbors. I don't have the psychological or historical background to support this claim though.
Of course, there is also the counter-argument that we are "way past slavery". And that anarchy might actually work in present-day human evolution. This is a theory I would love to believe in.

but you miss the fact, schools are being dumbed down to make sure all have an equal chance in passing.... which just does it worse. America is 27th or something in math scores of whole world, other countrys push there children. we dont...

i think it is a necessary evil, i do. but smaller the power of the gov the better. i would want the least amount of gov possible. we already have the fact that local states rules take precedence over fed rules (washington, colorado), and the gov, should,ld have more things that limit there power internally.

my opinion about our government is simple
i believe 5 year olds could run a better congress
simply because of one reason
5 year olds can compromise
our congressmen suck
our system sucks
our government is outdated and nobody is willing to adjust to the present
nobody is willing to take a stand on big issues because it would impact some voters image of them
it's basically a big shit fest where nobody will do anything actually worth a damn
except they can of course agree on giving themselves raises and more days off

Ugh I agree 100% the more I learn about education (in my education courses) the less i want to finish my teaching degree. It's fucking ridiculous.
But to be perfectly honest, we have it a lot better in the US than many other places, and I am glad we have freedoms that may not be afforded to other places.

Congress doesn't have widespread support for gun laws and restrictions.
What do they do?
They publicize every incident a gun is used in, blow it up, and twist the fuck out of it to make it so they can get their way. They want people to be afraid, and to let them change what they want.

the governments run on fear and propagnda sadly they do in a way its only real duty is to protect us from other countries . Anything else is a privalege from their standpoint

Other countries hate our government because our government abuses it's power.

Yeah, not sure about any plan to take over the world because I'm not sure any politicians have the intelligence for such a plan.
All politicians in Britain seem to do is take each other to court and insult each other whenever they get the chance by calling each other "my honourable friend" or "honourable gentleman". (Yes, that is how British politicians insult each other. No wonder the Americans stereotyped us all as posh tea-drinking nerds) |
