In my opinion, this is wrong. People their (I live near Detroit) voted this person in to make a difference, not ask someone else to help. If Joanna can't do her job without actually doing something about the probs, then let someone else have your job..

Of course its outrageous....Give him time...I may be from a completly different country but even i know the whole world is in a huge pile of shit right now....Countries are going bankrupt....companies are losing etc...But this isnt all politicians faults....
I'm democrat in its full, but also believe in times of reform. Sounds like Detroit needs reform not federal assistance. Enough bail outs were given in Obamas first term, I don't think he plans on doing much more this term. Currently he is submitting a plan for a small bail out of housing. Thats about it.
My only question is where this money for a bailout is going to come from? The Federal Government is 16 trillion dollars in the hole so I know it can't possibly come from them...oh wait...

Let Detroit alone for 15 to 30 years, then ask if the US should bailout Detroit. It's all about patience, a city can rebuild itself if it really wanted to. It's really up to the people.

Brilliant solution Drk. I see your understanding and morals are on top form today.
But yeah, her mentality is pretty much 'why isn't he helping me?' Though I'll admit I could do with subtitles for her.
my signature broke, here is a fox snek:
As someone who used to be RIGHT next to ODST (physically XD) I agree that they need reforms. This is bull. pretty much EVERY ROAD is getting construction work on it and they make it out of the same shitty material In the same shitty way. If they would like asphalt it or something the roads would be fine but they instead waste millions on roadwork that isn't even being done.

That was pretty ignorant. I hope you know why poor people are poor, and how hard it is to get out of the "poor" cycle.
I have a better solution: Build Labor camps in Alaska to develop the land, round up the homeless and welfare parasites and use them to cut down trees for lumber and dig for coal. Now they're useful to society.

I don't mind your extreme views, I respect that.
It sounds like a good idea, but don't you think it's wrong moving people hundreds to thousands of miles away against their will? Think about if your living a good life as a homeless and out of nowhere the government flies you to the ends of the country.
Think about what you believe, and see what makes more sense.

How is it wrong? These people walk the streets wanting food. They really don't do anything productive, there's trees that need to be cut down, ditches to be dug, coal needing to be extracted. I see nothing bad about the whole deal.

It's wrong making people do things against their will. I know how you feel, I hate lazy people, God doesn't like laziness. I know we are suppose to work, but not force these people.
It's all about educating and motivation.
I think they do enough tree cutting in the Amazon rain forest... jk lol. My point is you can't force people against their will. Let me do that to you, and lets see how it feels.
