Attention FC/ZA members, allies, server regulars and forum members!
I am hosting the Carnage Commercial Competition! Do you have what it takes to win? Submit your ZA related Commercial via linkage to this thread by September 12th at 11:59 pm CST (GMT-5). I encourage all members of the forums to participate in this and being in FC or ZA is not a requirement to enter the competition.
The rules will be similar to the last commercial competition that was held with some modifications. Grading will be harsh and the competition will be stiff. Make sure you read, follow and implement all the necessary aspects in your submission so that you don't spend a lot of hard work and time only to get disqualified because you forgot a needed element.
Rules:
1. Only One submission per person.
2. No copy-written images, videos, or songs may be used in any way that may result in legal action against Food Clan, Zombie Assassins or its owner.
3. Song selection must conform to Rule 2 and must also be approved by [ZÅ]Carnage. Submit your music to him via Private Message at www.foodclan.com or on xfire at carnage1323. Just so you know I generally will disallow screamo music. Make it something tasteful and isn't filled with extreme rage/hatred.
4. Video must be between 2 and 4 minutes, no more, no less. You will be docked points from your overall score for having a video too short. 0-15 seconds too long or too short = 10 points off; 16-30 = 20 points off etc.
5. Videos MAY contain (but is not required to) the following media:
In-Game Videos
In-Game Pictures
ZA Member signatures
Site content
Music
Pictures of zombies and weapons that conform to Rule 2.
6. Your videos must contain certain visual aspects in order to meet the qualifications for submission. Videos that do not meet all of the following requirements will be automatically disqualified. Videos MUST contain the following info:
-FC ZA tags and full names of the director/producers etc (at the beginning, and end)
-Website (at the beginning, end, and twice more for a total of 4)
-"JOIN ZA" mentioned a minimum of 3 times
-Your ZA member name (if you are a member) or gamer tag
-"Contact a ZÅ Admin via x-fire or at www.foodclan.com for an interview"
-"Visit www.foodclan.com for more info" (does not count towards your Website requirement)
-You may choose to add credits to the end of your film if you used "extras" in your film.
The goal of this video is to promote ZA as a clan so making a super awesome video about my little pony, although it may have super great animations and graphics, will likely not get you a win. It is advisable to submit a video that showcases what FC/ZA has to offer as a clan but don't let this stunt your creativity because a significant amount of points will be available to earn in that area.
You must follow the Rules or your submission will be disqualified.
Feel free to be as creative as possible. Your video can have nearly any creative element in it as long as your make it relevant to the clan and follow all the previously listed rules.
Prizes!
-The winner of this competition will have their Video posted on the homepage for one week and on the Youtube channel, will receive a winner's forum signature, and a $20 dollar cash award donated by Carnage!
-Runner up will get a runner-up forum signature, their video on the homepage for a week (after the winner has theirs up for a week) and a $10 cash award donated by Carnage!

*I reserve the right to amend the rules should the need arise. I will post in this thread but it will ultimately be up to those that are entering the competition to make sure they have all the required elements before posting a submission. If you don't understand a rule ask me before you just submit it because with money on the line it would be bad if you did something incorrectly that results in your submission getting disqualified.*

why are they a no no? That makes no sense. im not asking the clan to donate money for the prize I myself am giving it. Raz had a thing a while back that offered gift cards or something. how is that any different?

@ Raz you may work together but if your team wins you'll have to split the monies. Therefore the more people you have help you the smaller your portion of the loot will be.

I think the issue with money is that it requires giving personal details. Correct, BlackAdder?
If you were going to give out cash prizes, you'd have to get either the Paypal details or the home address of the winner/s.
Anyway, excluding cash prizes if I'm allowed, (I'm not giving you my personal bank details), I might participate.
Just need to get a cool open source video editor because I don't have Vegas and Windows Movie Maker sucks. |

The issue before, like when raz wanted to give cash prizes, it was a halo skills competition - and offering cash for winners was too tempting we were scared of having people cheat and stuff.
In this instance, it is acceptable because cheaters will be easily caught because submissions are reviewed before winnings can be claimed.
Furthermore, if the winner does not want to give carnage their personal info and does not have paypal (which only requires email address and no other personal info), an online game credit can be given for sites such as bigfishgames or whoever.
