Xbox 360 modding has just reached a new level! Some modding maniac has transformed the Xbox 360 exterior into a funy toaster. Amazingly the toaster looking Xbox 360 still plays games just fine and well. The creator says bigger and better mods will be on the way so long as he can sell this one. So would anyone be interested in purchasing this far out Xbox 360 modification?

Rumors around the PlayStation Phone – the latest example of Sony’s poor secret keeping – continue to swirl. Kotaku reports that the latest rumor comes from Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, which outlines seasonal launch timing, markets and a few features for the not-so-fabled gaming telephone. The paper reports that the PlayStation Phone could go on sale initially n the U.S. and Europe next spring, supporting previous timing rumors of March 2011. It also reports that the phone will be based on the PSPgo (ugh) and use similar PSPgo-style controls, supporting previously leaked video and images. UMD and memory sticks are also said to be eliminated (double ugh). If rumored launch timing of spring 2011 is to be believed that hopefully means Sony will stop this madness by making an announcement soon. More rumors have pegged Mobile World Congress, the mobile tradeshow taking place during February 14-17, as the big stage.

Rumor: Infinity Ward making MW3 with Sledgehammer, Raven
As long as the world keeps spinning on its axis and waves crash against the shore, so too will a Call of Duty game be in development. Case in point: CoD: Modern Warfare 3 is currently being developed by the skilled, gentle hands of Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games. Or so it’s today rumored. LA Times reports that the folks at IW and Sledgehammer are sharing the single-player duties on Modern Warfare 3 in an effort to ensure its November release date is met without difficulty. Sledgehammer’s own Call of Duty game, which went into production before the troubles at IW began, is said to have been put on hold. The outlet’s sources have also said Raven Software has been tapped for the multiplayer, which falls in line with recent speculation. The need for such external help likely stems from the axing of Infinity Ward honchos Jason West and Vince Zampanella last spring. When the company leaders were fired, many other IW employees left with them.

New Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Targets Modders
Microsoft has released a mandatory update, with the key feature supposedly that it re-enables the option to play games straight from turning the system on. However, it seems as though this was just a smoke screen as they attempt to battle against their own wave of modders, which constantly pirate games on their system. Numerous users were reporting that following the update, modded copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Reach no longer worked as flashed firmware disc modifications were now blocked.

Ascension Black Ops Zombie Map Gets New Weapons, Perks and Enemies
Ascension – the new Zombie map that is included with the upcoming First Strike map pack – is set to include a couple new weapons, perks and enemies when it lands on February 1st. Ascension is set in a abandoned Soviet cosmodrome and has you playing as one of the regular cast of characters (Takeo, Nikoli, Dempsey, and Rictoffen). While playing the new Zombie map you will have the misfortune of coming up against new enemies, including Space Monkeys who steal your perks! Luckily, you’ll have a few new weapons at your disposal to see off the hordes of zombified bad guys (and Monkeys); the Gersch Device or “Black Hole Bomb” and Matryoshka Dolls. You’ll also have two new perks available in Ascention; Stamin-Up and PhD Flopper, the benefits of which have not been confirmed yet. oh and infinity ward made a new company called respawn enertainment and their goal is to make a COD killer and Takis almost all of infinity ward left because of the news
Also Wings, Activision were not giving Infinity Ward all of the profit they were entitled to for MW2 which further enforced the law suit.
And yes the essential team which made Infinity Ward what they were moved to Respawn Entertainment under EA. Under EA they have the ability to produce whatever sort of game they want and EA will publish the game. They won't be told they have to to "this and this" like Activision told them, they are free to develop their own game.
Out all of this everyone can gather that Activision are the biggest money hoarders on the gaming market, and quite frankly I think they are arrogant in the fact that they think "publish the best games out there" when in fact, there are plenty more games out there not under Activision which are great.
