Hello everyone, this is your old colleague DRK. I'm gonna get to the point. You know it, I know it, we know it, ZA is dying. The Halo servers are done for the indefinite future with no replacement in site. Everyone is off on their own playing League or various other games. Halo was our main source of activity, not to mention our source of recruits. Until we get a server up and running, everyone is just gonna keep quitting and quitting until we end up like every other clan. I suggest that we find other games to play that we all can agree on for future use. We will find other players to join our ranks. Many players are still searching for that clan to be a part of, and I want us to be that clan for them. I still see ZA as having a future, but we have to act now while the opportunity is still within our grasps.
I have compiled a list of games we can try and I hope our last few players can all vote and discuss what games we should play.
**GAMES**
Team Fortress 2- Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite games. It's free off of Steam and anyone can play it. They have various player classes like Sniper, Engineer, Soldier, etc. I don't think you need a very powerful computer to run it either. I have played on zombie servers before and we could all try something like t.
Depth- I liked this one, it's sort of like zombies we're all used to, except you're a team of divers looking for treasure and you have to fend off sharks. I like it, because of the horror aspect, you have no idea when the sharks are coming, and there's some claustrophobia about it.
Day Z- A mod of Arma 2, you play the role of a soldier stuck in Europe as zombies begin attacking. You have to forage for food and supplies as other players try and do the same, zombies try to eat you, and you sometimes have to fight other players called bandits who rob other players.
H1Z1- H1Z1 is a survival sandbox massively multiplayer online game. The game is set during a zombie apocalypse in rural USA in which players will are pitted against each other to survive.
Rust- Like adult minecraft, you band together to build and survive. More violent too lol

I would say the best two options would be League or Team Fortress 2. They're both free. |

I haven't gotten around to tf2 yet, although i have it; if it's on sale, left 4 dead 2 (up to 4 players, or 8 if there's server mods, and you can set to friends only) and killing floor (up to 6 players, public servers unless u know how to set up a server), are decent killing zombies only game, but no pvp. Low system requirements relatively speaking compared to the triple A titles out there. l4d2 has tons of mods too. I'd say the two games are just if not everyone can play, just some lulz games.
Regularly $20 for each, but they sometimes have sales on it. I might think of more games later; can't think of one that i've played personally that allows 16 players. h1z1 seems good but i haven't gotten it yet, nor rust or dayz.
/just my 2 cents for now

Halo could be revived if we switch over to the newer Halo Online game, which, to my understanding, already has Halo 3's Infection gamemode. (It's still in alpha/beta right now btw) I think you can get Halo Online off of GitHub, I can provide a link that should work if you guys want.
DayZ is definitely an option, the standalone or the mod? |

I agree with Code. I don't think any of you are honestly willing to devote the necessary time and effort that would be required to essentially start a new clan with an old name. I am going through the same thing with CnR right now. It's A LOT of work and planning. Getting everyone to agree on a common game is next to impossible, getting new people to join without already having infrastructure (site/server) is almost impossible as well.
The way that game makers are making games these days has fundamentally changed the ways that clans can work. Halo was a perfect game for clans because, as Code pointed out, it required no actual skill or purchases beyond the base cost of the game...literally install and play. Now we have moved on to either pay to win, pay to play or pay to get a computer good enough to play. There are games like Halo out there, however many of you guys do not have the necessary computer to play them or the money to invest in them. Drk said we need fresh blood to move forward, however we need existing blood to build up what we have now in such a way that it will attract people. I just don't see that happening.
I hate to be Captain Buzzkill, but I just don't see this clan coming back to life and reliving its glory days.
