Not much, just installed gimp. Learning how to use it. fun. Needs some more work, but i will figure some more out. For now, check it out below.

you should make one with Olympic theme xD since Hercules started Olympics, you can get a Hercules' statue and make a sig with Olympic theme lol.

Alright, it depends. Do you want me to go ultra-hard critique on you- I used to make signatures for two years, and still dabble occasionally- and by that I mean point out your faults and where you could do better and suggest ideas;
or do you just want me to say "excellent work old boy toot toot eh wot"?
Cause it's good, for a first start from GIMP, anyway.

Nice sig. If you want to fix the green lightnings, it is easy to do that by turning down the opacity to less than 100% to something like in the 60%'ish.

I second Moony's question. You want critique now or once you've had enough experience to deserve hate? (I hate on my own signatures as if I'm satan's cruel father so be wary, though I do try to be as kind as possible to other people :/)
For now, basic critique I guess. It's pretty good for a first try. I suggest you duplicate the lightning layer though. Then set the bottom layer's mode to value. Then go to the duplicate and set that to difference. (I think that should do it) Merge down.
Then create another layer and fill it in green. After that, set the mode to colour. Then set the opacity to about 74.
Merge down.
Now you should have some fancy lightning. (Can't be bothered to test it though. Just trying to remember how I did it. My memory might be completely wrong xD)
E: Weird, just tested and merging layers seems to be messed up. Must be the new version. When I last used GIMP, I was able to merge layers so that they overlayed together. -.-

YES!!! Somebody remembers the poor borders.
You should remember to actually learn to use brushes though. They're very useful for various things.(you could do amazing maths and set up a filter to deal with brushing for you but it'd be a bit of a waste of time ) |
