New [ZA] Zombies server for Halo Custom Edition

Anyone agree with this idea? A [ZA] Zombies Server for Halo Custom Edition hosted on custom maps such as No Remorse (aka I think this would be the best custom map ever for Zombies where you can climb on roofs of buildings with ladders/crossing other buildings by walking on wires, going inside the buildings/houses, etc). So that map kinda reminds me of the CS:GO Zombies. There are also a lot of other good Zombie maps for Halo Custom Edition such as "House of the dead", etc. There should also be the Stats/Ranks put into the server where I think that will get a lot of people wanting to join/play in the server such like the ProStats on Halo full version. And not only that, Halo Custom Edition has a special teammate nametag feature where if you press F3, it will show the name of the person on top of the green arrow, so you would know who is trying to nade you off or doing something to break the rules or maybe even follow that person if you want to stay/camp with him/her at a certain spot. Don't forget Halo Custom Edition has another feature where if you press F2, it tells you every details about the server's gametype, server message of the day, etc. If we do have this, then I will definitely come back to Halo again instead of getting bored of playing the same normal/default maps over and over again. But if you guys like this idea, post here and let me know what do you think and also you can post suggestions of the custom maps for Halo Custom Edition that would be best suitable for Zombies.

Well, we can always advertise it on Halo full version servers, or on front of this website about a new CE Zombie server being opened, etc. And that can probably get some people to get CE and play it. Don't forget, Halo Custom Edition is a free download from halomaps.org website that's about 170MB and you don't need to buy Halo all over again as you can put the Halo full version CD Key that you put for Halo when you installed it, and Custom Edition will then work perfectly without the CD Key invalid error. As for the maps, you just download them from that same website and put the .map files into your Halo Custom Edition maps folder from the directory. It's not a 3rd company game. Halo Custom Edition was officially announced and made by Bungie back in 2004.

ya but then u got all the hassle of down loading all the maps an everything.. i had my own halo ce server.. didnt rlly like it lmao but thats just me  plus whos going to pay for the server?

I can probably pay for it if you guys want me to since GameServers are cheap nowadays with $12 a month for a 16 man public server where before it used to be $20. But I need someone who is good with FTP who can setup all the gametypes, scripts, phasor app, etc into the server.

Once I made my own free dedicated server on halo CE. It was a piece of cake to make one but it wasn't phasor or anything, just plain old halo stunting server. XD. I was running the server from my pc. then I deleted halo CE, got bored of it.

OMFG! <3!! About the Halloween thing, speaking of that, if you go to Halomaps.org and search for Halloween maps, there are a lot of fun scary type of maps based on Halloween for Halo CE. lol

I know how to use FTP since I have my own server. but I don't think you can use phasor on CE. You can use Gandanur on CE though (I'm pretty sure) and it would allow for rcon levels and stuff like that.

over 100 people play ce thats not bad no we just need like 10 or so of those people. And with the advertisment we will have on are servers and sites even more people will play the game! this is a great idea we should do it.

CE is to all halo players, so thats available to all members here. aswell, running a ce server is free to this clan as i can always run 1 more on the vps. furthermore, phasor does run on CE so the ability to script that is doable, albeit i will have to allow for time to modify the scripts to suit the diff offsets on ce |

one thing that I'm thinkin is that perhaps za is branchin out a bit more than it can handle. Take the fc and race server, while both r awesome in theory ours members don't really play in them. Now I'm not sayin they should be closed, but before we make new servers I think we need first a list of ppl that will play in them. Let's say at first 20 ppl play ce but it goes down wat then?

I would tend to agree with Adder - while branching out is fine and all, ZA is built around members who all play Halo - CE isn't really something that most member of ZA play.

Gandanur's not really a good option for zombies and isn't really the most feature-filled option on CE.
You should either get one of the many zombie apps there are out for CE, which I'll try to find links for later if you want, or configure SAPP, a very feature-filled admin system, to get the same kind of features as the regular servers.
I would certainly play on the servers if there were ZA servers on Custom Edition. Only reason I don't play much Custom Edition anymore is because there aren't awesome servers like ZA's yet. (And my old clan doesn't exist anymore and the other leader, who was also the server host, doesn't play Halo anymore :/)

You guys should get the map No Remorse and try it out by hosting in your own 0 ping server to walk around the map and see if it will be suitable for Zombies. In my opinion that map is the best for Zombies. But you can also give me the list of other custom maps for me to try them out to see if it will be good for Zombies by either posting the names here or Xfiring me.
In version 1.00 CE, a lot of people play it more than the official 1.09 CE since 1.00 CE is a cracked illegal free version that people use when they can't afford a simple $15 game like Halo. You don't have to buy Halo Custom Edition, you just get the full version for $15 in retail stores and you put that same CD Key into Halo Custom Edition. Like I said, Halo Custom Edition isn't a 3rd party company game, it was officially made by Bungie in 2004 where people can mod more experienced custom stuffs into it including making maps of their own.
There is also a version changer made by the same person who programmed Gandanur server app for both Halo and Halo Custom Edition. You can basically change versions to hop into 1.00 CE and other versions by using the rcon console command on Halo's/Halo CE's main menu. But not like you are going to lose your version 1.09 after doing that, you can always change back to 1.09 by using the same rcon console.

I really like this idea. The normal Halo maps get boring over time and stuff
Plus, you could have a sticky link list on the main page or something for ZombieCE. This would allow you to have all the maps in one spot, and let you put instructions there.
