If so, then I'ma get him to support Microsoft and Xbox 720. I'm pretty sure Dennis would too, since he runs and moderates Halomaps. xD

Price doesn't matter. It's how the console pays off along with it's retailed games. So Xbox 720 FTW with its Halo series and many more great Xbox owned only titles.

Halo is great and amazing. I love the universe and the extended lore, however to say that XBox reigns king simply because of Halo is very anecdotal to me.
I am a PS3 owner and I have owned an Xbox before but not the 360. When I went to the game shop with my dad (keep in mind I paid for all of my stuff with the money I saved) I had two choices, Xbox 360 or PS3. I chose the 360 first simply because Halo Reach was fresh in the stores and I was eager to play it. When I went to the clerk, he told me I had to pay for online play while the PS3's was free. What deterred me from Microsoft was the fact that Xbox Live was a paid service and I simply did not have the funds to keep pumping cash into something that should be free.
PS3 at the time was also equiped with a BluRay player (while Xbox 360 was not) to play my BluRay movies and the SixaxiS controllers had me interested when I played Warhawk for the first time.
I still, to this day play on PS3 avidly and don't miss Halo Reach or any other titles at all. Sure they're all awesome, but I can still play many great titles other than Halo plus PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, etc.
Also, price is most certainly an important matter. If I had to choose between two gaming systems and one was cheaper than the other but can play most of the same games as the expensive one, I would definently go cheaper. Halo 5 should not be the primary reason to buy an expensive console.
BTW I love Metroid with a passion, don't talk trash about it   |

$50 XBL membership for 12 months isn't a lot. And also who needs their consoles to watch some BluRay DVDs when you can easily pirate them (The 1080p versions) online and watch it from your 23+ inch monitor in 1080p HD.

But the question is, why would I want to pay for something when the competitor has just the same thing for free?
If I had bought the 360 then I would have spent about 200 bucks more altogether just cause of live when PS3 is a somewhat cheaper investment. |

Well,when I bought my PS3, I bought the 320 gig one-with acc's and a few games. It came out to almost $600, and this was about a year ago.
