Alright, I am going to move on a next topic: accuracy, although feel free to continue responding to your favorite beat-down weapon or any other topic of your choosing.

My tips for a human and for surviving longer include not rushing and pushing alone. Make sure you always have someone by your side to watch your back. Keep your eyes open wide for camo players and collect ammo for the shotgun whenever possible.

\How a human player target aim at zombies is a key difference between good and not so good players.
Inexperienced players, including me when I first started, tend to follow their mouse cursor to the zombie target.
However, that will not help the accuracy, since the player has to keep moving their cursor whereever the zombie goes before firing. Experienced players, instead, let the cursor stay and briefly wait for the zombie to move into the scope. In order master this, the human shooter has to predict and picture the path or the trajetory of the moving zombie, whether the zombie is moving a straight line, zig-zagging, jumping, or a combination of them. After that, place the shooting cursor ahead of the zombie on the path where you predict the zombie will go. When the zombie reaches your cursor, shoot. I usually put my cursor a couple meters in front of the zombie. If you follow this, your accuracy will improve greatly, whether you are using a pistol, shottie, or sniper. However, it will not work if you are at close quarters with a zombie. I recommend distancing yourself at least several meters away from your target before using this method. |

As a zombie, this is why you should mix up your movement in order to beset evade human bullets. Humans are always trying predict your path of your movement in order to get the best shot on you. Zig zag around, left and right, up and down. Jump around in different intervals. Suddenly stop your on track and watch the sniper bullet wizz right in front of you before moving. This way, you can confuse the humans shooters, lowering their accuracy. |

As Wu was pointing out the jump crouch is a technique that is very useful but few ppl do. If you crouch at the peek of your jump it gives you a very slight boost. This is VERY useful
For example:
Its longest and someone is watching the ladder standing on that middle top part. They are to far out to hit through the wall but their foot is sticking over the edge of the top. If you jump up and down under them to try and melee their foot sticking over your melee will not reach. BUT if you jump then crouch at the height of your jump you'll have enough boost to melee their foot and get a nice infection followed by a WTF.
And as Wu was saying this can be done on Ratrace and Prisoner. On ratrace if someone is standing in the very back of the tunnel beside the powerups a simple 2man ladder is enough. You can stand on someone and jump crouch on them to hit someones foot who is in the back of the tunnel.
On prisoner if someone is camping on the top with the flag if thier foot is sticking over the ledge you can do a 2 man ladder also. Just jump crouch off a zombies head and melee the persons visible foot.
The crouch gives you that needed boost to pull a few tricks so practice it for yourself.

Definately use the crouch camo as a zombie, and contrary to popualar belief, do NOT hold down crouch, if you do this the camo will flicker and you will be easier to spot.
Wait till you have full camo, and tap crouch about once per second, and your camo is perfect, and you mix up the location of your head, making it harder for humans to 1 shot headshot you.

I usually don't go for the head because it is smaller target to hit and I risk missing the zombie it esp. in close quarter combat

This is a personal secret of mine, which I hate to give away, but oh well.
You can reload faster by pressing beatdown right in the middle of reloading. This works especially well for weapons with faster beatdowns (AR).

As a zombie, don't jump too much when dodging sniping/pistol fires from longer distances. Jumping makes your path more predictable because what goes up must come down. Humans like predictable zombies.
However, when you are fighting a human in close combat, do jump around, as long as you can get the human to turn to another direction. Jumping around in close combat can make the human more disorientated. |

On the other hand, if you are last man standing, and you are fending against a horde of zombies DON'T jump around. I see many inexperienced players do that. Unless they seriously lag or the zombies are really bad, the inexperienced last man cannot survive for more than 10 seconds. That is because it is harder for the human to change directions while in midair, and one experienced zombie can time its beatdown on the location where the human may land it. Instead, like many veteran players do, the last man should stay grounded and lunge at one of the zombies, preferably changing his/her direction. Therefore, not only will it make to more difficult for zombies to time their beatdowns, the last man can also get some kills from hitting zombies, instead of solely relying in the bullets to survive.
I have seen or experienced many LMS. Those last humans who can survive the longest have at least a third or a half of their final kills via beatdowns, depending on the size of the map. |

You can reload faster by pressing beatdown right in the middle of reloading. This works especially well for weapons with faster beatdowns (AR).
If you do this make sure the reload animation shows the clip touching the bottom of the gun as it is about to be put back in, if the clip is not touching on the way back and you melee, it will not reload.

You can also reload faster by switching weapons There is a certain spot in the animation (a little past half-way) where halo scripting counts the weapon as loaded. If, at this point, you double tap tab, you will be back to your loaded weapon.
Speaking of this, let's say you have a shotgun and a pistolé on top of the base at Death Island, but you want a sniper? There is considerable danger from the portal while retrieving the sniper, so run up to it, shotgun in hand, and rapidly type tab-e-tab. You will have the shotgun equipped, but you will also have the sniper you wanted. This allows you to protect yourself better at the portal.
For zombies, here's a useful thing I found. On Longest, if you have a needler as zombie and humans have the OS side, if you line a shot up perfectly, you can melee the OS, which puts it on you.
*NOTE: When meleeing the OS, you have be standing directly across from it and hit perpendicular to the wall so your shot gets maximum range to hit the OS. I have tested this with the Needler 3 times and have gotten the OS. I'm not sure about other weapons.

Next is an important strategy: use your teammates as resources. Yes, you are competing with them, but there are also win-win situations. If you are a zombie and you want to kill a human on a higher ledge, ask for a ladder. If you a human who wants to move to another spot, ask other humans to go with you, so they are help watch your blind spots. Experienced players know how to work together more often while inexperienced players usually do things by themselves. That is why some players are good: individual skills is one thing, but taking full advantage of his or her surroundings is another. |

This is another tactic I enjoy using, esp. as zombie: make your enemy look one way, go the other way. For example, on Boarding Action Lvl 5 (where the campers are usually sniping), I usually go up the incline, as if I am about jump down and ambush them. Usually, the humans guarding the corridors will spot me doing this, so they will divert their attention to the top of the incline, expecting I will jump down from it. However, I will instead jump down from the incline and charge through the corridors, surprising the the humans guards. Depending on the skills and reflexes of the human guards, I either succeed on infecting at least one human camper or I don't. However, element of surprise is always good for zombie players. |

Char, that is very noble of you, but camping by yourelf won't maximize your kills/credits. |
