Well, I was just wondering what you all played while growing up.
I played:
-Pokemon (mostly the handheld ones + shadow of darkness and colesium fo gamecube)
-Fire emblem (only the one for gamecube and wii, but still very fun  )
-James Bond 007
-"Tales" series (symphonia was the best)
-Legend of Zelda (every game was aweesome)
-Metroid (Prime series was the best)
-Smash Bros. (melee is da bom

We didn't have video games growing up because apparently it rots our brains and causes kids to turn away from God.... (I'm not making this shit up)... I didn't play any video games of my own until I was 14 (after I took my first communion.... wtf) |

I remember playing really old 8-bit type games on my parents' old Mac with a black-and-white screen when I was really young. xD As a kid I mostly played Midtown Madness 2 and Flight Simulator on PC.
Parents didn't let me have any video game systems until I was 9, I think. Then I got a GBA, and played a lot of games on that-- mostly Pokemon.
I had a friend who had a Game Cube and I'd watch him play it for hours and hours lol... I eventually did get a GC, but it wasn't until I was in middle school.

SNES: metal warriors, jurrasic park, megaman series, megaman x series, mario series, and bunch of others too hungry to remember.
PS1: megaman x series, digimon series, some flying game. duke em nuke em, mario series
GameBoyColor: pokemon Red my first game my mommy got me. lol. then played yellow when my brother let me....played blue couple times. but mainly RED, eventually got. Gold, silver, crystal, had power ranger game, donkey kong game. spiderman, pokemon trading card game. megaman x game.
there was other games forget atm.
PS2: digimon series/megaman x series.unreal tournament. and other games.
DAMN IT. i feel sad.......those were and will remain THE BEST TIMES...of my life.....thus far.. still a chance to get better if i befriend scarlett johansson.

Mostly every Nintendo brands and then Halo PC when it first came out. As soon as gaming had evolved into the god gaming master race aka PC, then that's when I also started to play a lot of major First Person Shooter titles for the PC.

Wow I'm old. Around 1987 my parents got out first comptuer, it was fucking huge and mega expensive. We had 2 games on it. Police Quest, in which you typed in commands.
And Tetris
We played these games for YEARS, at least until about 1995 when comptuers started to get more affordable and we upgraded. That computer was fucking epic, lmao - and you should have seen the fucking printer! LOL!
In like 1989 or so my parents got me and my sister an NES w/ Super Mario Bros. We later also got Super Mario Bros 2. For a brief period I had a Super Nintendo but never had any good games. I barely remember it. My grandma also got us an N64, but I sucked really bad and was only marginally successful at Super Mario 64 and Golden Eye. In high school and just after I had an xbox and played both Halo 1 and 2.
But mostly, we played games like tag, hide-n-go-seek, we hunted possums with our dogs and caught fireflies, we jumped on the trampoline and played in the water hose. We ran around the neighborhood in bunches of 10 or 20 kids and all went home when the sun went down.

hunter hunted, worms armageddon, lords of the realm 2, mech warrior 2, lode runner the legend returns, hexen, rogue spear and urban ops for pc
oregon trail, carmen san diego, for apple back in the day lol

I grew up on nintendo! I played the N64, Gamecube, gameboy advance, DS, and the Wii. Never had a xbox or a playstation. I played almost all of the best n64 games, Ocarina of time def my fav game of all time. I've played most of the zelda games, mario games etc. Halo is my first fps game that I started in winter of 2011.

Not gonna lie about living in the 90s as a kid would be the best thing ever. Nowadays the games and shows for kids are just too much kiddish..
